Clerics should note the house rules affecting Channel Energy.
New cleric domains.
- Granted Powers
- You can channel the light of Brightpool into attacks and quasi-real effects.
Moonblade (Sp): As an immediate action, you can manifest a 3-foot long blazing blade composed of moonlight which you can wield with proficiency and gain the benefits of any sword skills you might have such as Weapon Focus. The moonblade is considered a good-aligned light weapon and a force effect. Attacks made with it are resolved as touch attacks dealing 1d8 points of damage +1 per 2 cleric levels (18-20×2). Critical threats made against evil giants, lycanthropes, and the undead are automatically confirmed. Against a target that is neither good nor evil, the moonblade inflicts only non-lethal damage, whereas a successful attack against a good-aligned target causes the moonblade to shatter. You may summon the moonblade for 1 round per day equal to your cleric level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive.
Moonbeam (Sp): At 8th level as a standard action, you can unleash a blazing bolt of energy to strike down evil. This is in all respects like a purified* lightning bolt except that the damage inflicted is composed of force rather than electricity. (A purified spell gains the good descriptor. It does no damage to good creatures and half damage to creatures that are neither good nor evil. Against evil creatures, the damage die is increased to the next larger size — in this case a d8.) Against evil giants, evil lycanthropes, and the undead, the moonbeam is also empowered. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3+ your Wisdom modifier.
